How to use Microsoft Word for Blogging

Microsoft Word, the famous word processor also comes with the capability to write and publish blogs. It is a great tool as it enables the user to use Word’s out of the box editing features including SmartArt, pictures, charts and spell checker. Here is what you need to do to get started:

  1. Open Microsoft Word and search for “Blog Post” template.

     

     

  2. After selecting the template, click on “create” button.

     

     

  3. On create you will be prompted to register the blog. Click on “Register Now”. You may register later, but you will be prompted again when you post.

     

     

  4. Choose your blog provider and hit “Next”. Word lists some of the most used blog providers like WordPress, Blogger etc. However if your blog provider is not listed, you may add a blog provider.

     

     

  5. In the next screen, edit your blog url within the angular “<>” brackets and enter your credentials and hit ok.

     

     

  6. If your account registration is successful you will receive the following message. Click the ok button.

     

  7. Write, edit your blog post and publish.
