Different ways to launch the Application Insights Search Window in Visual Studio

The recent updates of Application Insights tool for Visual Studio has several improvements. In the previous post we have seen one the improvement Viewing Exceptions Stack trace in Visual Studio Integrated Application Insights Search . Earlier to open the search windows,  from the main menu, navigation to View –> Other Windows –>  Search Applications Insights . With the recent updates, there are several ways to launch this search windows.

You can launch the Application Insights Search directly from the solution explorer by clicking on the “Search” icon.

This will take you to the Application Insights Search Windows for that specific Application Insights.

Another way of launching search windows is from the Application Insights notification windows which appears after pushing the first notification.

Not only the search windows, you can directly launch the Application Insights portal from here as well.

You can also launch search windows by navigating through Project –> Application Insights –> Search

From this menu options, along with search, you can also open the application insights portal or configuration dialog windows.
