Fix/Resolution: Unable to install Windows Server AppFabric through Microsoft Web Platform Installer

This tips talked about resolution of one very common problem that many developer might encounter during Windows server App Fabric Installation. While trying to install Windows Server AppFabric thorough Microsoft Web Platform Installer encountered the installation failed as displayed below .

Installation was failing as FTP service was running as displayed below.

This only happens while installing through WebPI as otherwise in direct install i.e. installing from Download Windows Server AppFabric the setup displays the warning that FTP service is running.

The resolution is to stop the FTP service and then proceed with the installation of Windows Server AppFabric setup. For further details visit Download Windows Server AppFabric.
