You can integrate Azure Application Insights with Azure API Management. With that, you can now send the APIM telemetry to Application Insights. Azure Application Insights helps in monitoring applications health in real time. And, you can leverage the Application Insights dashboard, to analyze the APIM telemetry data.
Integrate Azure Application Insights with Azure API Management
From the Azure Portal, Navigate to the APIM. At the left side blade of API Management, you will find Application Insights options under the Monitoring Option.
Select the Application Insight and Checked the “Enabled” checkbox. Click on “Select the Application Insights” and choose the Application Insights from the list of available Application Insights
You can also provide the Instrumentation Keys directly and Save it.

With that, API Management would start sending the Telemetry to the sleeted Application Insights
