4 Simple Steps – Auto Update to Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code, a lightweight cross-platform code editor for develop and debug modern web and cloud applications. This cross-platform development tool can run on your preferred platform – Windows, Linux and OS X. By now most of you are very much familiar with this editor and using it. Here is the recent of update of this editor, and one of the interesting thing is, now you can update this automatic from the Visual Studio Code Editor Itself. 

Get the Recent Updates

To Start with, Navigate to Check for Updates… option from Help main menu.

Step 1 :  Check for Updates...

Once selected, the menu option would be disabled, and it will actually do the necessary stuff for you.

Once this done, Visual Studio Code needs a restart to get it applied. You can do that later as well !

Click on “Restart Now”, and That’s all. Once Code launched, check the version number.

 Update for V 0.8.0

This time you may need to two stage update. Just follow the same steps and instructions.
